Challenge

Educate UX Design students, who are often unsure about the role of the UX Writer, and explain how that writer is a core member of the User Experience Design (UXD) team.

My Contribution

• Created a teaching deck to explain the function of UXW and to outline how they became specialists in the writing field

• Clarified writing roles in the digital sphere, such as Copywriters and Content Strategists, and how they differ from that of a UX Writer

• Created an in-class assignment where the design students, using the perspective of a UX Writer, took a blank sign-up form and amended it.  Upon completion of the task, the students had acquired a significantly enhanced perspective on how UXW and design are mutually beneficial
